About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced M&A professional to join our team. If you like a challenging and supportive environment and are a self-starter with relevant experience, this role is for you.
In this role, you will work alongside senior team members to assist with the execution of M&A transactions. You will be responsible for managing client work, creating financial models, preparing presentations, training juniors, and supporting the senior team members with day-to-day project management.
Responsibilities:
- The full range of responsibilities involving M&A transactions at the Associate level
- Project management and transaction execution: Coordinate and lead the pitch phase, support due diligence, document preparation, negotiation, etc., and liaise with relevant counterparts at the client/other advisers (accounting, legal, etc.)
- Attend client meetings with MDs and be capable of leading the meetings on your own as and when required (both with current and prospective clients)
- Proactively establish new relationships with clients as part of our M&A business development efforts
- Work with fellow team members on creating continuous and high-quality deal flow strategy
- Conduct due diligence and research on companies and industries
- Build and maintain financial models to support transaction analysis
- Prepare pitch books, presentations, and other marketing materials for clients
- Support senior team members with day-to-day project management
- Analyze and synthesize data to identify trends and insights
- Lead, train, and evaluate the performance of junior team members
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field with great CGPA score
- 3-5 years of experience in investment banking or M&A advisory
- Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strategic acumen with a clear vision for business development to successfully originate deals
- A-Z knowledge of the M&A process and different deal structures
- Deep understanding of financial statements and financial modeling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in English and Polish is a must; any other European language is a plus
- Ongoing knowledge of emerging technological trends, technology M&A, and deals in the sector
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and contribute valuable ideas
- Confidence and certainty in speaking to potential clients and strategic partners
- Excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a time-sensitive environment and under pressure with tight deadlines
