We are a Mergers and Acquisitions advisor focusing on technology and growth companies. 

Our work centers around advising founders of technology companies (primarily software and IT services) on selling their businesses to strategic or private equity investors. Or, conversely, finding acquisition targets and coordinating the deal process for investors. 

We specialize and actively develop our technology practice while also being active in more traditional sectors like business services or manufacturing. Historically, most of our deals have involved a party from Poland, our ambition now is to start advising on deals across the globe.

All our team members spend a significant portion of the time on business development activities and marketing activities, such as writing research reports for the blog, approaching potential customers or researching upcoming themes in technology.

The analyst’s role at Aventis would be supporting the existing work on live projects, as well as taking the initiative in business development and marketing activities

Responsibilities

  • Preparing pitch decks for potential clients
  • Performing valuation or financial analyses for potential clients
  • Drafting teasers, Information Memorandums and financial models
  • Running target and investor searches, researching the M&A transactions and valuations in specific industries
  • Supporting business development activities, such as industry research, lead research and email campaigns
  • Supporting marketing activities, such as writing articles on M&A topics, preparing research reports and updating the 

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience in finance or management consulting
  • BSc or MSc degree in Finance; candidates with Economics or Business backgrounds expected to have experience or training in Accounting, Corporate Finance or Valuation
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong English skills (our work language is English)
  • Experience with databases, such as EMIS, Mergermarket or Capital IQ is a plus
  • Motivation to develop knowledge of the technology industry; understanding of SaaS, IT services, and other tech business models is a plus
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment, manage multiple tasks with different priority levels with limited supervision
  • Proactivity and history of coming up with new ideas and executing them
